NAMIGH Black History Month (1)

Historically and today, Black people have worked the political angle to seek their rightful space in the country. Black medical professionals worked with others to establish nursing schools, hospitals, and clinics in order to provide spaces for Black people to get quality health care, which they often did (and do not) receive at mainstream medical institutions. In Texas, we encourage Black people, and all people, to learn more about mental health policy options in the 88th Texas Legislative Session that impact the health and wellbeing of people in our state. Let’s make a difference together. Please download, read and share NAMI Greater Houston’s Public Policy Priorities - https://www.namigreaterhouston.org/advocacy/public-policy-priorities/
