Family Support Groups

WHAT TO EXPECT?

NAMI Greater Houston offers on-going support groups for family members of adults diagnosed with mental health conditions. By sharing your experiences in a safe and confidential setting, you gain hope and develop supportive relationships. No registration is required.

This free, 90-minute group allows your voice to be heard and provides an opportunity for your personal needs to be met. It encourages empathy, productive discussion, and a sense of community. You’ll benefit from other’s experiences, discover your inner strength, and learn how to identify local resources and how to use them. The support group model uses group wisdom to support participants in focusing on issues for which there is practical, useful information or resources.

Visions Parent Support Group

Using the same model, Visions Parent Support groups are for family members of children, 0 to 18, who are dealing with mental health conditions.
